Proud Thursday

At Don Valley, we believe in celebrating and recognising the outstanding efforts and achievements of our students. Proud Thursday is one of the many initiatives we have in place to encourage and reward excellence in learning. Read on to discover how we celebrate our students’ achievements every week.

Every Thursday, students proudly showcase their exceptional work with a special sticker placed next to outstanding pieces in their exercise books. These stickers are a ticket to a well-deserved prize at lunchtime in the dining hall. It’s our way of saying “well done!” to our hardworking students

We believe in spreading positivity and recognising dedication. Our teachers and learning support staff take the time to acknowledge and celebrate students who consistently put in their best effort. Handwritten postcards are sent home to these students, highlighting their hard work and commitment to learning. Students’ names are proudly displayed on slides showcased throughout the school, ensuring that their achievements are celebrated by the entire school community.
