At Don Valley Academy, we want every child to leave a well-rounded, confident and employable person. We understand the importance of ensuring that we offer a holistic approach to education, which spans wider than just the classroom. We have used the Delta pledges system to further enhance the school experience for all of our students.
There are 10 pledges for our students to gain, all of which are achievable each year, with some which require something a bit further, for example residential. Students are given plentiful opportunities throughout the year to achieve these and gain their 3, 5, 7 and 10 pledge badges, in recognition of their achievements and contributions.
Our students can gain these pledges both inside and outside our Academy and they encourage them to contribute to our community. This offers them the opportunity to become respectable, considerate and valuable members of the community they live in.
