Don Valley Academy Thomas Gray, Vice Principal / Director of Research School
Tom graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Economics. Whilst starting his career as a maths teacher at an outstanding school in Rotherham, Tom completed his Masters Degree in Education. Tom developed his classroom practice and leadership skills whilst teaching at schools in Barnsley and Sheffield leading successful maths departments at both.
In 2017 Tom joined Delta Academies Trust as a Director of Mathematics and worked successfully across multiple Academies, including Goole, Darton and Don Valley, supporting their GCSE maths provision. Tom loved working for Delta and in particular with the students and staff at Don Valley Academy, subsequently joining the Academy in 2019 as an Assistant Principal. Tom enjoys supporting colleagues, working with new teachers, teaching maths and running the Academy’s social media accounts. Tom leads DEEP Learning working to ensure an excellent quality of education for all #TeamDVA.
