Having been awarded the Sheffield Hallam Cresenters Award for most promising teacher, Hannah started her career in Dudley as a Maths teacher in a ‘special measures’ school serving a highly deprived area. Quickly promoted to Head of Department in her second year of teaching, she led the department to GCSE results in the top 5% nationally. Relocating back north to be nearer family Hannah led the mathematics departments in Barnsley and Penistone, each time transforming the ethos and outcomes of students.  Hannah quickly progressed through senior leadership positions specialising in leading students’ progress, teaching and learning, quality assurance and culture.

Hannah joined her first Delta Academy ‘The South Leeds Academy’ as Vice Principal, a failing Academy serving a multicultural community.  She led staff and students to achieve the best outcomes in their history. This success led to Hannah joining Don Valley Academy, a significantly underperforming Academy in Doncaster which has been on a transformational journey. She is now proud to be Principal of Don Valley Academy,  having secured a Good OFSTED and a phenomenal culture.  Hannah welcomes you to come and visit anytime.
