Year 11 Prom

As part of our commitment to rewarding positive achievement and behaviour, we will be organising our annual Don Valley Academy Prom for our Year 11 students.  This year, the Prom will be slightly different from previous years, but I am sure you will agree that this is a very exciting event to hold to allow our wonderful students to celebrate their hard work and commitment.

We have not been able to secure an outside venue to hold the Prom so it will be held at Don Valley Academy. The dress code is ‘Dress to Impress’.  Students have decided that they would like to have a ‘fun’ evening so there will be a mixture of party fun and games, dancing, karaoke, disco and buffet style food.  Due to current government guidelines we are unable to facilitate parents/carers being on site at this event.  Final arrangements are not yet fully complete and further details will be sent out to you as soon as possible.

The date of the Prom will be Friday 25^th June 2021.  Tickets will cost £15.00 and will go on sale from Monday 17^th May 2021 via ParentPay.

The Prom will start at 6.00 pm and finish at 10.00 pm. Students must leave the Academy at 10.00 pm by parental vehicle, taxi or other arrangement.  Staff from Don Valley Academy will be supervising the event.

Students will be presented with their ticket by a member of the Senior Leadership Team.  Please note that the reserved ticket to Prom is dependent on the student’s continued good conduct and effort.
