Votes for Schools 25/11/21

In form time today as part of Votes for Schools, which provides a weekly resource that prompts discussion on a challenging current issue, students debated a current issue and voted; ensuring that their voices are heard and have an impact.

This week students are debating “Was COP26 successful?”. This topic will be discussed by schools taking part in Votes for Schools across the UK and will expose students to both sides of the issue in a fair and balanced manner. This process enables students to come to an informed decision, which they must justify in discussion with their peers and teacher.

Last Weeks Vote

Last weeks topic was “Is banter ever an excuse for bullying?” and our academy voted: 76% No, 24% Yes.
